Our History
We began as a church plant from scratch ten years ago. For the past period numerous people have gone through our church, and we believe that they have not done so in vain. In a sense, we are a missionary station for those who are seeking God. And as to those few who remain with us, they become precious members of our church community, in regards to both Russian-speaking and English-speaking brothers and sisters. With much grace in our hearts and the holy Bible in our hands, we learn to live anew: in peace with God and his good will, walking along his beautiful paths. "The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance" (The Psalms, chapter 16, verse 6).
What We Believe
We believe in the Trinity: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the original sin - the sin of the very first generation: Adam and Eve. We believe in the all-encompassing power of this sin which acts in every human being. We believe that Jesus came to deliver us from the yoke of sin, becoming the sacrifice for our sins: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" (Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16).
We believe that all physical matters, including our health, emotional, and material state, depend on the spiritual. The Bible says that God is spirit; therefore, one should build a relationship with him on a spiritual basis - the basis of faith.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Gospel of Matthew, chapter 6, verse 33).
We believe in the power of prayers in Jesus' name, and in the power of church where the means of grace are communicated: through the preaching of the Word of God and partaking in the sacraments.
